Mrs. Adewumi is an Adjunct Professor and Office Assistant in the Mathematics Department at Hudson County Community College (HCCC), New Jersey City University (NJCU), and Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). 

 

As an Adjunct, she taught Basic Mathematics, Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Contemporary Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, and Problem Solving for forthcoming teachers and at-risk students.  She also taught the Summer Bridge Program and Enrichment Program for her institutions.  She is pleased to report, 90% of the students that register for the summer program pass their Final Exit Exam. She was a presenter at the 2017 New Jersey Maker Summit on EV3 Lego Mindstorms. She was an SIIA CODiE Award Judge for the 2018 Ed Tech CODiE categories and IEEE TALE 2018 Program Committee Review Judge.  She was a facilitator and volunteer at the 2018 NJ Hack-a-Thon by assisting 5th to 7th graders to learn skills to solve problems in the community and create an app using Thunkable. She participated in various workshops and technology webinar. She also presented a webinar in 2019 on Using Technology in Mathematics Classroom.  She is a CODiE Award judge 2018 and 2019. She is also the founder and CEO of BAACE Education, which help kids from developing countries and underrepresented community to be educated. 

 

Working with students, she learned to be a good listener, extremely patient, and sensitive to the needs of others.   


 

She volunteered in the New Jersey Food Pantry to package and distribute food to homeless and needy families. She also volunteered for the 2015 GREENFEST event for recycling.  She was the facilitator for the El Sistema New Jersey Alliance (ESNJA) Summer Camp 2017.

 

 

She is married with two beautiful children, Sarah and Sammy.
